We are happy to announce our first online ECOnomic Youth Business Summit!
For whom?
For youth below 23 years old who have existing eco-businesses or innovative eco-ideas or are eco-activists across India.
Note: This is an INVITE-ONLY summit with limited slots.
What is ECOnomic?
ECOnomic is a Youth Business Summit with an aim to
1) bring together a community of like-minded youth who take action along the lines of 'People-Planet-Profit'
2) nurture responsible entrepreneurship and interdisciplinary learning among the young minds of our country
Why should you be part of this?
If you find yourself sitting in a classroom unaware of the prevailing engagements in the class, not contributing towards it, this could be due to a lack of opportunity/space to discuss your interests freely...which brings us to establish this online safe space for you to share your ideas, innovation and knowledge that are pro-Earth because Without ECOLOGY, there is no ECONOMY.
What will you get?
The summit would help in fine-tuning thoughts overlapping economy & ecology, cross-sharing of knowledge across sub-domains in the environment space and maximize peer-learning across various disciplines. This will allow you to expand your environment-consciousness across domains, enhance your personal learning curve and imagine co-creative possibilities to tackle the multiple issues that plague the environment-space.

Cost?
There is a minimum accountability donation of Rs. 100 to register. This will be used to host such virtual/on-ground community learning spaces.

Without ECOLOGY, there is no ECONOMY.
What we have around us is an abundance of resources that captivate our interest and creativity. This nature's gift to us also forms the current economy as raw materials for several business products and services.
Let's imagine we come up with a business idea and then we tend to maximize the value for all of its shareholders. Our conscience does not consider the ecological impact that the production and consumption of resources would cause in this process.
We forget to ask important questions such as...
How much harm will I cause to this Earth that has gifted me with so many things?
What is at stake in the ecosystem in return for my economic benefits?
We believe that all future youth can nurture this thought and act as conscious and responsible citizens. In this fast-moving world that is evolving to have environment-centric designs and systems, it is of utmost importance for our nation's youth to begin thinking in the same direction and get the required platforms and opportunities to develop and nurture such related ideas.
Only when we begin to BE THE CHANGE will we understand that it is nearly impossible to create any products or services that do not impact the environment. BUT, it is possible to be conscious and develop innovative and creative ideas that minimize the impact on the environment. Do you agree or do not agree? Let us know!
